A Positive Experience for Police and Youth Since 1987!
The members of the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop R are proud to announce the sponsorship of Camp Cadet 2017.
The camp is designed to bring a better understanding to youth of law enforcement activities while living in an atmosphere of an actual State Police Training Facility. Emphasis is placed on self-discipline, the ability to make new friends and work with them as a team.
The week long experience will be brought to boys and girls at no expense to them. The camp is funded solely by area police, civic and business groups, as well as private contributions.
Among the instruction to be presented will be State Police Aviation, Patrol and K-9 Units, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Secret Service, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Sheriff's Departments, Bomb Squad and much more.
It is a week full of excitement that will not soon be forgotten.
Check-in is Sunday afternoon and the week concludes on Friday evening with a graduation ceremony where family and friends are welcome.
